Sports Utility Vehicles.
In other words . . . large, upright vehicles traditionally known for their off-road capabilities. And compared with other car lifestyles, they are still that, but the tough off-road image has been watered down a bit in recent years in favour of a more family-friendly, high-tech, high comfort appeal. Nowadays there's not a world of difference between the best SUVs and the best Audi or BMW coupé cars.
One thing SUVs will always have plenty of though is space, and not just in terms of passenger capacity but storage space as well.
And of course, not all SUVs are created equal. You can adjust the filter on the left for small, medium, or large SUVs.
But hang on . . . estate cars have plenty of space too, right? And they're pretty decent off-roaders (actually having their origins in wealthy 'estates' in the countryside).
All true, but SUVs have the edge when it comes to trendiness.
They also have an advantage over estate cars in safety terms, as a higher driving position means a less obscured view of the road. Plus they're larger and heavier than estates, so more chance of standing up to collisions and 'bullies' on the road.
Better performance: you'll notice more zippy acceleration and faster 0-62mph times
Advanced Features: Boasting cutting-edge technology, roomy interiors and safety features prioritising your peace of mind
Zero Emissions: Or at least, nearly zero. Drive guilt-free in the knowledge that you're contributing to a greener planet
Cost-Effective: Enjoy lower fuel costs, tax incentives, and reduced maintenance expenses. Leasing an electric SUV saves you money whilst you enjoy the latest tech
Silent drive: That's right. No noisy engine like with a petrol or diesel car, so you'll be cruising along like a stealth ship
Road tax: Zero-emission vehicles are exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), or road tax. Low-emission vehicles can also pay less VED
Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax: The BiK tax rate for electric vehicles is 2% until 2025. So certainly 'kind'
Charging is cheaper than refuelling: That's because electricity is often cheaper than gasoline, and the biggest savings come if you charge your EV at home, even if there's an initial cost to get a home wall-box installed
Lower maintenance costs: Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts than traditional cars, which means there's less that can go wrong and less £££ you'll have to spend on repair bills

Breakdown cover
You'll receive a reminder ahead of time, and a nice chap or lady from the leasing company will pop round to collect and inspect the electric vehicle.
Don't worry, they won't bite. They just want to check that you've not exceeded the mileage on your contract or damaged the vehicle beyond fair wear and tear guidelines. And if so, then you'll have nothing left to pay!
By the way, you can amend your mileage allowance at any time throughout the agreement. However, it can sometimes actually work out cheaper just to pay for the excess at the end than to opt for a higher mileage on your contract. The rate we usually see is 7p – 11p per mile.

SUV stands for ‘Sport Utility Vehicle’. They’re basically family cars with an emphasis on off-road features, for example a raised driving position and higher ground clearance. Some also offer all-wheel-drive.
Not quite. Although SUVs and 4x4s are similar, 4x4s are strictly four-wheel drive only, meaning they use their engine to power all four wheels. Whereas SUVs can also be two-wheel drive, so they are a bit more of a generalist class.
Great value electric car lease deals can be had all-year round, but you'll find that most new models tend to be launched by manufacturers between the months of July and October, making this the best time to make savings.
