Stylish, maybe, but still a proper workhorse this. Whether you’re transporting tools or simply heading off-road, the eTerron 9 is made of stern stuff. And it's made by . . . yep, yet another Chinese manufacturer. Seem to be getting awfully good at this electric vehicle thing, don't they?

It's a large contraption, bigger even than a Ford Ranger, and with an electric range which puts even some electric cars to shame. And being a full electric pick-up truck, you could say that the eTerron 9 is a bit of a rare bird, as there's not many of them. The Chinese brand’s previous release, the Maxus T90 EV, was actually the first, though the eTerron 9 should be quite an upgrade given it has all-wheel drive system as opposed to the T90's rear-wheel drive.

Get acquainted with the controls and you'll find that the eTerron 9's advanced ATS (All-Terrain System) makes things relatively easy for a beginner. And you know you're driving a decent set of wheels when Luxury is the lowest trim level (the higher one being Premium). Meanwhile, enjoy 6 driving modes, including 'Mud' and 'Sand'.

We really like the 236-liter 'frunk' under the hood where luggage can be transported weatherproof and which accommodates 2-seat space for a BBQ or picnic.
