Inside, it adopts BMW’s latest curved display layout, combining a 10.25″ digital driver‑cluster and a 10.7″ touchscreen under one seamless glass surface, paired with a floating centre console and ambient lighting for a modern, driver‑focused feel. The cabin delivers a premium touch with soft‑touch materials and seats upholstered in bio‑leather or Vernasca leather, available with massage and memory functions, though rear head and legroom feel tighter due to the coupe silhouette. All that typical BMW comfort.
Technology and features
The BMW iX2 is packed with modern tech that enhances functionality and comfort. Its centrepiece is the BMW Live Cockpit Professional, featuring a curved dual display, a 10.25″ digital instrument cluster and 10.7″ (or up to 14.9″) touchscreen, running BMW’s latest OS 9 for snappy performance, app integration, and over-the-air updates. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work wirelessly, and the Intelligent Personal Assistant responds to voice commands for navigation, media, and cabin settings. Higher trims offer luxuries like a panoramic glass sunroof, heated and ventilated M Sport seats, Harman Kardon surround sound, and a wireless charging tray with USB‑C ports. The BMW iX2 comes with a 64.8 kWh battery capacity.
Putting safety first
The BMW iX2 offers a robust suite of safety features designed to support and protect both driver and passengers. Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering helps maintain a safe distance from other vehicles while keeping the car smoothly positioned within its lane. Standard features or available packages include Lane-Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking and pedestrian detection. Parking is made easier with Park Assist and a 360° surround-view camera system, while passive safety is reinforced by a strong body structure, multiple airbags, and Electronic Stability Control.
