In existence since the 1940s and named after Japanese industrialist Soichiro Honda, Honda was once more known for motorcycles, with its popularity as a car manufacturer really picking up around the turn of the new millennium. Its success hasn't quite been enough to rival that of Toyota, but in terms of the world's largest car manufacturers, Honda does still sit at a very commendable 5th place spot at the time of writing.
Launched in 2018, this fifth generation SUV model really raises the bar for the Honda CR-V range, with improved looks, economy and styling, plus the option of seven seats for the first time – five seats at the front, and two additional seats in a third row. The Honda CR-V shares rivalries with other SUVs like the Subaru Forester and the Toyota RAV4. Power for the Honda CR-V is delivered by one 1.5 litre VTEC turbocharged petrol engine. In terms of safety equipment, you get collision mitigation braking, collision warning and lane keeping assist, not to mention road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition.
The five-seat hybrid version of the Honda CR-V arrived a little later, in 2019. It is available in either 2WD or 4WD and makes use of a new 2.0 litre petrol engine which, paired with an electric motor, produces 181 bhp. Meanwhile, top speed is 112 mph, and fuel economy stands at around 50 mpg.
You can tailor your dream Honda CR-V lease deal for any budget by altering the leasing details, whether that be contract length, initial monthly payments, annual mileage and vehicle availability. If you are looking to lease with no deposit, just set the "upfront" initial payment to one month!
