Inside, the cabin is spacious and minimalist, thanks to the E‑GMP platform’s flat floor and long wheelbase, accommodating six or seven passengers in flexible lounge‑style seating, including swivel or relaxation lounge‑seats in the second row. The dashboard features a sweeping Triple Panorama Display made up of dual 12.3″ screens and a 5‑inch climate control display, with intuitive touch‑sensitive controls and minimal physical buttons.
Technology and Features
Ideal for both short trips and long journeys, the Kia EV9 is outfitted with an advanced Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system featuring a Triple Panorama Display comprising two 12.3″ screens (instrument cluster and infotainment) plus a 5″ climate-control panel, and intuitive haptic shortcut buttons that only illuminate when the vehicle is on. It supports Bluetooth multi-device pairing, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and features natural language voice control, Google Fast Pair for Android phones, and access to music streaming via over‑the‑air updates. You can charge devices via wireless phone charging, multiple high-power USB‑C ports throughout all three rows, and even use the vehicle’s V2L (vehicle‑to‑load) outlet to power external electronics on the go.
Putting Safety First
The EV9 is the first Kia model to offer conditional Level 3 autonomous driving via the Highway Driving Pilot (HDP) system, allowing hands-off control under certain legal and road conditions, with built-in fallback procedures if driver attention is not detected. It also includes Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2) with Lane Following Assist 2, Lane Change Assist, and Hands‑On Detection, which work together to maintain lane position, adapt to changing traffic speeds, and ensure the driver remains engaged.
